Salary: $485,000 - $625,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead technical strategy for Claude’s mobile chat surface and influence web/other clients.
• Partner with product, design, and teams like Claude Code and Growth for seamless integration.
• Dive into iOS/Android internals for rendering, text streaming, and performance optimizations.
• Collaborate with design to deliver fast, polished interfaces with quality systems.
• Contribute engineering perspective to product roadmap and prioritization.

Requirements

• Experience leading technical direction across non-managed teams with proven influence.
• Deep expertise in at least one mobile platform (iOS preferred), including low-level rendering, performance, memory, text.
• Shipped consumer-scale mobile apps with systems for performance, quality, and observability.
• Strong product instincts, craft focus, and collaboration with product/design/engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant field; experience matching senior staff level.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/LLM-powered or real-time streaming chat interfaces.
• Depth in both iOS and Android or native/cross-platform.
• Track record executing multi-quarter technical strategies.
