What you will do

• Act as SME for network security, overseeing firewall configurations, rules, and cloud-based firewalls across multi-cloud environments.
• Influence network security architecture by defining requirements and driving security-by-design.
• Design, deploy, and test detection and protection use cases, including IDS/IPS signatures, based on threat models.
• Develop and implement hardening baselines for security tools such as UTM, DNS firewalls, NDR, DDoS/CDN, and WAF.
• Define capability roadmaps for network security and prioritize the remediation of technical debt and maturity improvements.
• Perform threat modeling, analyze PCAPs, and support incident response and KPI reporting.

Requirements

• Proven technical leadership experience and ability to influence architectural decisions at enterprise scale.
• Expertise in network security, segmentation, zoning, and firewall administration.
• Hands-on experience with SASE, WAF, NDR, DDoS/CDN, and UTM technologies.
• Proficiency in threat modeling, penetration testing oversight, and network traffic (PCAP) analysis.
• Knowledge of security frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001/2, and OWASP.
• Must complete extensive background checks, including Canadian Criminal, Credit, and Employment verification.
