Cybersecurity Analyst II (Network & Endpoint Security): Design, implement, configure, automate, and manage network and endpoint security solutions based on business, security, and privacy needs with an accent on threat monitoring, vulnerability response, and protective measures. Focus on developing signatures and rules, integrating solutions, and ensuring system availability and compliance under evolving threats.

Location: hirify.global, Canada. Fixed schedule required with flexibility for work outside regular hours and on-call rotation.

Salary: $8,305.08 - $12,952.33 CAD Monthly

What you will do

• Implement, automate, and manage network and endpoint security solutions, tools, and infrastructure in compliance with hirify.global security standards.
• Develop, test, and deploy signatures/rules for network protection to mitigate vulnerabilities and threats.
• Integrate new solutions with existing cybersecurity infrastructure and lead small-to-medium projects.
• Monitor external threat feeds, analyze risks, and recommend new protection solutions.
• Correlate events for situational awareness, implement logging for alerting, and support incident response.
• Educate hirify.global community on security best practices and collaborate on system improvements.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline and minimum five years of related experience or equivalent.
• Advanced experience with networks, endpoints, firewalls in enterprise multi-cloud environments.
• Expertise in DNS, Linux CLI/shell scripting, HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, JSON, APIs, version control, network firewalls, EDR/NDR/XDR, Python.
• Cybersecurity certifications from ISC2, ISACA, GIAC, or EC-Council preferred.
• Knowledge of vulnerability mitigation, cybersecurity fundamentals, frameworks, and incident/change management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage priorities under pressure, and mentor juniors.

Nice to have

• Cybersecurity experience in large research-focused higher-education institution.
• Experience with LDAP, OAUTH, SAML, PHP, ServiceNow.
