Salary: $230,000 - 280,000 total cash compensation per year (New York City) + equity

What you will do

• Lead a team of 3+ data scientists, setting direction, managing performance, hiring, and developing careers.
• Architect AI/ML and agentic solutions, author code, review PRs, and ensure high standards.
• Partner with PMs, engineering, and business to deliver data science initiatives aligned with strategy.
• Translate business problems into scoped AI solutions with planning and estimation.
• Build and ship LLM-powered and agentic systems from prototype to production, owning monitoring and iteration.
• Drive experimentation, define metrics, and represent data science in cross-functional discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s +8 years, Master’s +6 years, or PhD +4 years experience.
• Proven track record delivering production ML/generative AI solutions.
• Hands-on with LLM/agentic systems and frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK.
• Familiarity with AI stack: OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, AWS Bedrock.
• Understanding of ML/LLM lifecycle, MLOps/LLMOps, tools like LangSmith, MLflow.
• Business acumen for translating problems into shipped ML solutions driving outcomes.
• Experience leading/mentoring data scientists while staying technical.
