Principal Cyber Engineer (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Principal Cyber Engineer (Cybersecurity): Facilitate installation, configuration, integration, and training of COTS cyber products with an accent on complex software deployments and customer support. Focus on architecting REST API integrations with SIEMs, SOAR platforms, and cloud services, mentoring junior engineers, and influencing product roadmap through customer feedback.

Location: Flex - Austin (must have right to work in the US)

Salary: $160,000 - $190,000

What you will do

• Engineer, install, configure, integrate, and train on hirify.global COTS cyber products including version upgrades.
• Provide on-site customer support, troubleshooting, and technical documentation like as-built designs and SOPs.
• Deliver technical briefings to customer and hirify.global leadership; act as trusted advisor to drive sales wins and expansions.
• Architect complex REST API integrations with SIEMs, SOAR, identity providers, and cloud services; mentor junior engineers.
• Escalate customer feedback to influence product roadmap; lead PS team on deployment and engagement standards.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, InfoSec or related + 8+ years cybersecurity experience
• Advanced knowledge of DLP, CASB, SSE, DSPM, network admin, Windows/macOS/Linux/Unix, security architecture.
• Expertise in Active Directory/LDAP/IDP, virtualization, cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), zero trust, SD-WAN, firewalls.
• Troubleshooting complex installations; collaborate remotely across teams and with customers.
• Right to work in the US (Austin location)

Nice to have

• hirify.global product knowledge, Python/shell scripting, SQL, XML, REST API automation.
• SOAR tools (Splunk SOAR, Palo Alto XSOAR), CISSP/CISM, cloud certs (CCSP, AWS/Azure Architect).
• MITRE ATT&CK, DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II/III for government work.
