What you will do

• Architect foundational client-side systems for the secure extraction and storage of government-issued eIDs and ePassports.
• Lead the implementation of client-side Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) generation for privacy-preserving attestations of personal information.
• Build core security technologies utilizing Apple's Secure Enclave, Keychain services, and CryptoKit.
• Expand World ID's global reach by implementing ICAO 9303, mDL, and mDoc standards in a platform-agnostic way.
• Develop platform-independent libraries for reuse across mobile and cloud environments.
• Serve as a technical expert, driving the roadmap for mobile credential management and mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

• Deep experience designing and developing native iOS applications.
• Domain expertise in Apple's Core NFC framework and communicating with smart cards/RFID chips (APDU, ICAO 9303 ePassport).
• Hands-on expertise with Secure Enclave, Keychain, and biometric authentication APIs (Face ID/Touch ID).
• Advanced experience integrating cryptographic libraries into mobile environments via Swift interop.
• Knowledge of Liveness & Biometrics, including Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) and secure orchestration.
• Familiarity with identity protocols such as Verifiable Credentials, eIDAS, EUDI, SD-JWT, and BBS+.

Nice to have

• Experience generating Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) on mobile hardware.
• Experience with decentralized identity protocols.
