What you will do

• Lead sensor selection and requirements gathering based on resolution, fidelity, and environmental robustness.
• Manage hardware procurement timelines and logistics to ensure scalability.
• Design and implement robust edge software architecture and networking for scalable components.
• Develop software integration for new sensors and create templated solutions for hardware interfaces.
• Implement procedures for multi-sensor calibration and synchronization to ensure data quality.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and scientists to translate real-world needs into software abstractions.

Requirements

• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining edge compute hardware and sensor systems in physical environments.
• Strong background in software development for robotics and integrating high-volume multimodal data streams.
• Fluency in Python and/or Rust.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and managing edge-to-cloud data transfers.
• Must be based in or work in-person in Cambridge, MA.
