TL;DR

Senior R&D Engineer (Medtech): Designing and developing products for the treatment of hydrocephalus and other neurologic disorders with an accent on mechanical design and product reliability. Focus on translating research discoveries into marketable medical devices and ensuring strict adherence to quality and regulatory standards.

Location: Onsite in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. Candidates must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire (sponsorship is not available for this role).

Salary: $105,600 - $158,400

What you will do

  • Provide technical leadership for new product design, development, and existing product modifications.
  • Create comprehensive product performance, design, and process specifications.
  • Evaluate designs for short- and long-term performance and reliability.
  • Partner with Systems Engineering and external experts to develop device requirements.
  • Support regulatory submissions to governmental agencies and approve engineering change orders.
  • Research, integrate new technologies, and document inventions to improve clinical outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technically related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with 2+ years of experience).
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the medical device industry.
  • Proficiency in mechanical engineering, specifically using PTC-Creo or SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of molded component design and Quality System requirements (FDA GMPs, ISO 9000).
  • Skill in statistical data analysis using Minitab, Six Sigma, A3/Fishbone, or DRM.
