Senior R&D Engineer (Medtech)

TL;DR

Senior R&D Engineer (Medtech): Designing and developing products for the treatment of hydrocephalus and other neurologic disorders with an accent on mechanical design and product reliability. Location: Onsite in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. Candidates must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire (sponsorship is not available for this role).

Salary: $105,600 - $158,400

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for new product design, development, and existing product modifications.
• Create comprehensive product performance, design, and process specifications.
• Evaluate designs for short- and long-term performance and reliability.
• Partner with Systems Engineering and external experts to develop device requirements.
• Support regulatory submissions to governmental agencies and approve engineering change orders.
• Research, integrate new technologies, and document inventions to improve clinical outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technically related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with 2+ years of experience).
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience in the medical device industry.
• Proficiency in mechanical engineering, specifically using PTC-Creo or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of molded component design and Quality System requirements (FDA GMPs, ISO 9000).
• Skill in statistical data analysis using Minitab, Six Sigma, A3/Fishbone, or DRM.
