What you will do

• Design, build, and continuously improve the trade compliance program from policy through operational execution for scalability.
• Translate US export control regulations (EAR, OFAC, ITAR) into clear internal requirements and policies.
• Act as the subject-matter expert on Advanced Computing export controls, including ECCN classification for AI chips and accelerators.
• Draft, submit, and manage BIS and OFAC license applications and maintenance systems.
• Own and optimize automated restricted-party screening infrastructure and lead KYC due diligence for high-risk transactions.
• Design and deliver export compliance training for Sales, Engineering, and Finance teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on trade compliance program experience, preferably in technology, SaaS, or cloud infrastructure.
• Deep working knowledge of Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and OFAC sanctions regulations.
• Proven experience managing Advanced Computing export controls, including ECCN classification and FDP rule analysis.
• Experience drafting and managing export license applications with BIS and/or OFAC.
• Ability to implement automated restricted-party screening systems and manage match logic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain nuanced regulatory requirements to non-experts.

Nice to have

• Experience with EU Dual-Use Regulation (EU 2021/821) and/or EU sanctions compliance.
• Familiarity with import compliance, including HTS classification and CBP entry procedures.
• Experience building compliance programs within high-growth or scaling technology companies.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree.
