What you will do

• Build and manage AWS platform infrastructure and handle application deployments across environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or CloudFormation for VPCs, EC2, RDS, Lambda, and ECS/EKS.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines including automated testing and security scanning (SAST/DAST).
• Manage production-grade containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes on Amazon ECS/EKS.
• Implement monitoring dashboards, automated alerts, and logging for system health and error tracking.
• Automate operational tasks using Python, Go, or Bash to reduce manual overhead.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of DevOps experience with a strong focus on AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, IAM).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring/logging stacks (CloudWatch, ELK).
• Basic understanding of Java, Maven, and Gradle build systems.
• Location: Must be based in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional certification.
• Experience with zero-downtime deployment strategies such as Blue/Green or Canary.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Additional AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate, Cloud Practitioner).
• Experience with performance tuning and cost optimization in AWS.
