DevSecOps Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Manage core AWS services (EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda) with a focus on encryption and least-privilege access.
• Build and maintain secure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure platform scaling and consistency.
• Develop and refine monitoring and incident response strategies using OpenSearch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Ensure continuous compliance with SOC2 and PCI-DSS standards through automated checks and rigorous evidence collection.
• Maintain SDLC automation tools and configurations, including GitLab CI and ArgoCD, for secure deployments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers on secure infrastructure practices.

Requirements

• Must be based in South Africa.
• 5+ years of experience in a DevSecOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering role.
• Deep expertise in AWS (specifically IAM, EKS, VPC, S3, RDS, and EC2).
• Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS), including administration and deployment via Helm.
• Proficiency in Terraform and Python or Bash for automation tasks.
• Experience securing and tuning PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MariaDB.
