Team Lead Picking

TL;DR

Team Lead Picking (Logistics): Managing a team of ~20 FTE responsible for on-time and in-full retrieval and delivery of materials to internal customers using AS/RS and non-AS/RS methods with an accent on safety, efficiency, output, and quality. Focus on people management, daily and tactical performance steering, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvements including LEAN and 5S+1.

Location: Veldhoven, Netherlands (onsite, 2 shifts)

What you will do

• Lead the Picking team to ensure safe working environment, on-time material delivery, and optimized staffing/costs.
• Coach team members, set targets, evaluate performance, delegate tasks, and foster productive environment.
• Steer daily operations, solve issues, prevent reoccurrences, and report on SLA/performance.
• Drive continuous improvements in processes, products, and people capabilities, including LEAN projects and cross-sector initiatives.
• Plan based on priorities, identify bottlenecks, align with stakeholders for optimal execution.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Services, LO departments, Logistics Service Providers, and other hirify.global teams.

Requirements

• MBO+ / HBO level in logistics or industrial/business engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in leading/coordinating logistics position.
• Experience in dynamic environment; knowledge of warehousing/distribution preferred.
• Enthusiastic people manager with strong interpersonal, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Service-oriented with excellent stakeholder management, end-to-end process thinking, and analytical skills.
• Certificate of conduct (VGB) and Known Consignor training required.

Nice to have

• SAP (EWM & ECC) knowledge.
• Communication & presenting skills.
• Project management experience.
