TL;DR
Senior Resource Plane Platform Engineer (DevOps): Building, operating, and evolving the Resource Plane of an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) with an accent on shared non-database runtime services. Location: Must be located in Portugal. Hybrid work with offices in Coimbra, Aveiro, and Porto.

What you will do
- Design, implement, and operate shared Resource Plane services used across the organization.
- Operate and evolve Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Elasticsearch platforms in production.
- Apply SRE principles to ensure availability, scalability, and safe upgrades of stateful systems.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps-based automation for provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Integrate Resource Plane services into the Internal Developer Platform for self-service consumption.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and participate in architecture discussions and roadmap planning.
Requirements
- Must be based in Portugal.
- Senior-level experience operating production-grade, stateful distributed systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
- Proven experience running infrastructure primarily in on-prem environments.
- Deep experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred).
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, storage fundamentals, and SRE concepts (SLOs, alerting).
Nice to have
- Experience designing shared platform services consumed by multiple product teams.
- Familiarity with IDP concepts and developer self-service platforms.
- Experience migrating on-prem workloads toward cloud-native or hybrid models.
- Prior experience in staff- or principal-level technical leadership roles.
