TL;DR
Senior Backend Developer (Contact Center): Building backend services and platform capabilities for Interaction Orchestration, Agent, and Supervisor experiences with an accent on scalability and reliability. Location: Must be located in Portugal. Hybrid working style with an office in Coimbra and plans for offices in Aveiro and Porto.

What you will do
- Design and develop scalable backend solutions for Contact Center Orchestration & Routing.
- Build and evolve APIs for Agent and Supervisor products.
- Implement capabilities for real-time operational use cases and workflow orchestration.
- Drive backend architecture and engineering best practices across the team.
- Collaborate with Product, frontend, and platform teams to define and deliver robust capabilities.
- Mentor other engineers and conduct code reviews to raise overall engineering quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Java, or .NET for designing and building APIs.
- Deep understanding of distributed services, integration patterns, and data modeling.
- Experience building complex product capabilities beyond simple CRUD services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Must be based in Portugal.
Nice to have
- Experience in Contact Center, customer support, or real-time operations domains.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and distributed data systems.
- Experience with Azure or AWS in globally distributed products.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and observability practices.
- Experience leading backend initiatives from concept to delivery.
