Data Engineer (iGaming)

TL;DR

Data Engineer (GCP/Python): Designing and maintaining scalable data systems and medallion architecture to transform raw player data into actionable insights with an accent on ETL pipelines and BigQuery optimization. Focus on orchestrating Airflow DAGs, developing real-time data streams, and exposing data via high-performance APIs.

Location: Remote (Must be based in Bulgaria, Georgia, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Malta, Poland, Portugal, or Romania)

What you will do

• Build medallion data architecture using Dataform and optimize BigQuery and ClickHouse models.
• Develop batch and real-time data pipelines on the GCP platform.
• Orchestrate Airflow DAG pipelines for data imports and exports, including monitoring and alerting systems.
• Expose data to other teams through well-designed APIs supported by CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure GDPR/CCPA compliance and maintain data governance standards across platforms.

Requirements

• Strong command of SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, Dataform, Airflow, and Datastream).
• Solid working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven track record in ETL, CI/CD, and API development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Must be located in one of the specified supported countries.

Nice to have

• Real-time processing experience with Kafka, PySpark, or Flink.
• Familiarity with ClickHouse.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform.
