Junior/Mid DevOps Engineer

What you will do

• Work with engineers on designing, deploying and improving infrastructure services including logging, monitoring and alerting.
• Scope work, manage backlogs and ensure predictable project delivery.
• Provide guidance on long-range platform requirements with focus on automation and continuous improvement.
• Develop and own processes for provisioning, scaling, configuration management, capacity planning and monitoring.
• Analyze customer platform usage to drive continuous improvements.
• Own daily operational goals and raise engineering excellence standards through coding, testing and deployment processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years in DevOps or similar role.
• Fluency in Python or Ruby.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, networking, servers and cloud architectures.
• Experience with Chef, Puppet or Ansible.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud PaaS.
• Understanding of DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, SQL, HTTP.
• Knowledge of managing large cloud-hosted systems including auto-scaling, monitoring, tuning and recovery.
• Proficiency with source control, CI and testing pipelines.
• Participation in on-call rotation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker.
• Familiarity with Go.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
