Salary: $90,000–$132,000 per year

What you will do
- Provide legal analysis and advice on federal and state mortgage lending laws to ensure company compliance.
- Lead regulatory change management by monitoring legal developments and advising on implementation strategies.
- Act as legal counsel for new business initiatives and product development, assessing regulatory risk and structuring solutions.
- Translate legal and regulatory requirements into operational controls within loan origination systems like Encompass.
- Draft, review, and update internal policies and procedures to reflect evolving business practices and laws.
- Support internal audits, regulatory examinations, and prepare responses to regulatory inquiries.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 2 years of legal or regulatory compliance experience in the banking or mortgage industry.
- Deep knowledge of TILA/Regulation Z, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, and applicable state laws.
- Experience supporting regulatory change management and product counseling in financial services.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass) and compliance tools (e.g., Mavent).
