What you will do

• Coordinate day-to-day financial operations including revenue accounting, cost recoveries, and payroll-related processes.
• Review and reconcile financial records for operating, research, endowment, and trust funds to ensure compliance.
• Provide financial advice and guidance to faculty, staff, and students on complex non-routine financial matters.
• Guide researchers on managing grants, monitoring commitments, and resolving deficit issues.
• Oversee financial transactions including purchase orders, invoices, and international payments.
• Identify process gaps and support the implementation of shared service practices to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Diploma in Accounting or Payroll CPA Level 2.
• At least four years of related financial experience.
• Experience administering funding from various sources and ensuring compliance with funding rules.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial tools; experience with Workday is an asset.
• Strong analytical skills to investigate discrepancies and resolve complex financial issues.
• Commitment to enhancing awareness and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

• Experience in post-secondary or public-sector financial administration.
