What you will do

• Lead the overall design enhancement, integration, testing, and release of current and future software products.
• Guide and mentor various teams in the design and development of software for company products.
• Architect cloud, UI, database, and instrument control systems.
• Innovate and optimize software development processes, tools, and the deployed technical stack.
• Conduct modeling of behaviors, object hierarchies, and database structures.
• Conceptualize future software directions to ensure technical solutions are future-proofed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 20 years of experience in a software engineering environment with demonstrated leadership.
• Expert knowledge of Java and relational databases.
• Experience with the full stack of client and web applications (UI through database and DevOps).
• Experience with Agile software management in a lead role.
• Must be authorized to work in the US and based in Virginia.

Nice to have

• Experience with JavaFX, JavaScript, React, or Angular.
• Knowledge of AWS and cloud-based deployments and operations.
• Proficiency with build tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, or CodeBuild.
