What you will do

• Lead the team of internal and external editors and the rules manager, owning the Japanese wording of new cards.
• Ensure all card mechanics and text adhere to current philosophies, balancing historical precedents with innovation.
• Collaborate with creative and gameplay teams to ensure card names and flavor text align with design goals.
• Oversee the proofreading process for content, layout inconsistencies, and typographical errors.
• Partner with Game Designers to improve potential new game mechanics in future sets.
• Plan and optimize future workflows and maintain detailed documentation.

Requirements

• 1+ year of professional experience at a Senior Level in editing or game writing, or 3+ years with project lead experience.
• Strong content editing and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven communication skills in both Japanese and English.
• Ability to lead and manage multiple tasks, teams, and projects simultaneously.
• Must be based in Renton, WA, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience playing or interacting with Trading Card Games (TCGs) or other game types.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Microsoft Office (Word), Adobe Suite (Acrobat, InDesign), or Confluence.
