Technical Collections Engineer

TL;DR

Technical Collections Engineer: Support missions and operations with signals collection, protocol analysis, and network troubleshooting with an accent on telecommunications technologies including Wi-Fi, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, and RF collection. Focus on systems administration, optimizing system performance, and resolving technical issues in intelligence environments.

Location: Onsite at customer site in Sterling, VA

What you will do

• Perform protocol analysis, signals analysis, network troubleshooting, traffic characterization, and security analysis.
• Support systems administration and signals collection operations.
• Troubleshoot and identify technical issues to optimize system performance.
• Contribute to missions as part of a small qualified team.

Requirements

• Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph (sponsorship available)
• Technical competency in signals collection/analysis/protocol or network engineering/security.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree desired with 1-2 years relevant experience or direct relevant military experience.
• Willingness to work onsite in Sterling, VA

Nice to have

• Broad knowledge of hardware maintenance, system administration, automation, and scripting.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Virtual Machines.
• Prior experience as military Signal Collections Analyst or SIGINT Analyst.
• Demonstrated ability to work in small teams.
