What you will do

• Develop and support Oracle PL/SQL procedures, web services, and file-based interfaces.
• Perform requirements gathering and analysis to create functional and technical specifications.
• Design and develop system changes using structured techniques.
• Conduct system and integration testing and document release processes.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle from specification through to rollout.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for systems in live operation.

Requirements

• Significant experience in PL/SQL development and relational database design.
• Proficiency in Unix environment shell scripting and SQLplus.
• Ability to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with management and users.
• Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Expertise in Apex and Java.
• Knowledge of Northgate Housing modules.
• Experience managing change requests from start to finish with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas.
