What you will do
- Collaborate with Level Designers and the Art Director to maintain visual quality and gameplay clarity.
- Model modular environment pieces, props, terrain elements, and hero assets.
- Perform set dressing, including composition, prop-based storytelling, decals, and scene staging.
- Build and polish level art in the game engine on a daily basis.
- Optimize environments through LODs, draw-call management, and memory control while preserving visual quality.
- Mentor the environment art team, review work constructively, and fill modular-kit gaps with high-quality models.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in environment art or level art for games.
- Portfolio demonstrating environment modeling and set dressing.
- Strong modeling skills with Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max.
- Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 or Unity.
- Experience with PBR, Substance texture creation, and optimization.
- Hands-on leadership style with a commitment to mentoring and developing the team.
