Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Columbia or Lexington, SC. Position is initially remote but will transition to hybrid (3 days per week in-office).

Salary: $160K – $220K annually

What you will do

• Lead all phases of tax planning, tax preparation, review, compliance, and research.
• Prepare various complex tax returns, including Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate.
• Supervise and mentor staff accountants, providing feedback and evaluating their progress.
• Coordinate complex accounting projects and initiatives with the accounting team.
• Develop strategic recommendations to address tax and regulatory requirements for clients.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients and improve workplace efficiencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Required)
• CPA certification (Required)
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a CPA firm (Required)
• Ability to relocate to the Columbia or Lexington, SC area (Required)
• Proficiency in UltraTax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit products.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
