What you will do

• Provide expert operational support for cloud nodes (AWS, Azure, GCP) using Linux, Docker, Java, Python, and Bash.
• Participate in on-call Level 1 or Level 2 roster.
• Liaise with customers to resolve issues related to OpenSearch and other technologies.
• Perform complex cluster operations like migrations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Develop and improve internal automation tools, applications, and processes.

Requirements

• Resident of Ireland with right to work.
• Good experience in OpenSearch (issue investigation, upgrades/migrations); experience with Cassandra, Kafka preferable.
• Experience on one public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong Linux knowledge, command line proficiency, OS internals, memory management, networking.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication.
• Fundamental computer science/software engineering skills; team collaboration and initiative.

Nice to have

• IT customer service/support experience.
• Programming in Python or Java, Git.
• Investigating OpenSearch issues via codebase or Jira.
