What you will do

• Develop and implement core computation and data processing capabilities within a multi-functional team.
• Enhance the performance and scalability of the computation platform for large volumes of financial data across distributed systems.
• Design systems leveraging vectorised execution, parallelism, and elastic infrastructure to optimize throughput.
• Collaborate on architecture designs, performance strategies, and system-level optimizations.
• Own software features from inception through delivery with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in server-side languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience working with data-intensive systems and relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server).
• Strong understanding of performance, scalability, and distributed systems concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must maintain the right to work in the United Kingdom from the first day of employment.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale distributed or data processing systems.
• Knowledge of high-performance computing concepts like vectorisation or batch/stream processing.
• Experience with DuckDB.
