QA Automation Engineer - Willing to Start ASAP

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright for web and Maestro for mobile across iOS, Android, and Web.
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted testing with GenAI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot for test case generation, data creation, scripting, and defect triage.
• Own full testing lifecycle: review acceptance criteria, define test strategy, execute functional, regression, exploratory, UI, and E2E testing.
• Contribute testing estimates to agile planning, create acceptance tests, and integrate automation into sprints.
• Maintain Jira for status, defects, and traceability; own pre-production quality gates and release sign-offs.
• Collaborate with developers, UX designers, BAs, architects, and Scrum Masters to synchronize requirements and resolve issues.
• Continuously improve testing standards, frameworks, CI/CD integration, and quality reporting; raise risks and participate in project meetings.

Requirements

• Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal) required for client and stakeholder engagement.
• B.S. degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years as Software Tester / QA Engineer in delivery environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) for web automation and Maestro for native mobile (iOS/Android).
• Experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Working knowledge of GenAI tools for QA tasks like test generation and defect summarization.
• Strong experience with functional, regression, exploratory, system, UI, and E2E testing; Jira for backlog and defect management.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST-assured) and contract/integration testing.

Nice to have

• Experience with Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and Gherkin for acceptance criteria.
• Prior experience in software consulting environments.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools and Figma workflows.
