UK Markets Senior System Engineer (Pre-Sales) (Networking): Drive technical engagement with prospective and existing UK customers to understand business challenges and translate them into differentiated networking solutions with an accent on optical networking, packet networking, and SDN. Focus on delivering compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, proofs of concept, solution design, and resolving complex technical challenges throughout the pre-sales lifecycle.

What you will do

  • Drive technical engagement with customers to understand challenges and deliver differentiated networking solutions
  • Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept across hirify.global’s portfolio
  • Partner with sales to develop account strategies, identify growth opportunities, and support revenue expansion
  • Lead deep technical discussions, solution design, and act as trusted advisor to stakeholders
  • Resolve complex technical challenges in pre-sales with consultative approach
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitors, and product roadmap

Requirements

  • 8+ years in technical pre-sales, systems engineering, or related role in telecommunications or networking
  • Proven expertise in optical networking, packet networking, and SDN
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Success in high-impact technical presentations and demonstrations
  • Understanding of technical sales cycle and customer acquisition strategies
  • Strong problem-solving with methodical approach
  • Ability to influence decisions and align solutions to needs

Nice to have

  • Experience with UK service providers or large enterprises
  • Background in technical negotiations
  • Exposure to automation, network management, or analytics-driven solutions
  • Experience delivering technical training
  • Familiarity with multi-vendor environments
  • Comfort in complex matrixed sales organizations
