What you will do
- Interface with customer telecom engineers and IT teams to deploy solutions and troubleshoot issues.
- Provide day-to-day operational support for the telecommunications network, analyzing availability and quality problems.
- Act as escalation point for Network Operations Center on critical alerts from SBCs.
- Perform root-cause analyses on service outages and respond to telecom alerts.
- Deploy new services, including interop testing with carriers and customers, and manage vendors.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide emergency technical recovery.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of telecom engineer experience with VoIP/SIP voice applications
- Detailed knowledge of voice/data communications: SIP, TCP/IP, MPLS, H.248, G.711, G.729, WebRTC, UDP, RTP.
- Experience with Ribbon SBCs, PSX, Sonus/Ribbon, AudioCodes, FreeSWITCH.
- Knowledge of SIP call routing, LCR, security (TLS, IPSEC, ACLs), international routing, direct SIP trunks.
- Proficiency in Wireshark/Empirix for RTP analysis (MOS, jitter, latency, packet loss).
- Intermediate Linux/Unix commands; excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
