What you will do

  • Interface with customer telecom engineers and IT teams to deploy solutions and troubleshoot issues.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for the telecommunications network, analyzing availability and quality problems.
  • Act as escalation point for Network Operations Center on critical alerts from SBCs.
  • Perform root-cause analyses on service outages and respond to telecom alerts.
  • Deploy new services, including interop testing with carriers and customers, and manage vendors.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide emergency technical recovery.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of telecom engineer experience with VoIP/SIP voice applications
  • Detailed knowledge of voice/data communications: SIP, TCP/IP, MPLS, H.248, G.711, G.729, WebRTC, UDP, RTP.
  • Experience with Ribbon SBCs, PSX, Sonus/Ribbon, AudioCodes, FreeSWITCH.
  • Knowledge of SIP call routing, LCR, security (TLS, IPSEC, ACLs), international routing, direct SIP trunks.
  • Proficiency in Wireshark/Empirix for RTP analysis (MOS, jitter, latency, packet loss).
  • Intermediate Linux/Unix commands; excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
