Application Support Consultant

TL;DR

Application Support Consultant (Java/J2EE): Responsible for day-to-day operations of an application portfolio including maintenance, stability, innovation, incident, change and problem management with vendor team oversight. Focus on technical risk management, service delivery oversight, vendor performance evaluation, and ensuring smooth implementation of work requests and issue resolution.

Location: CT-Windsor, One Orange Way (telecommuting permitted)

Salary: $147,430 annual base

What you will do

• Oversee day-to-day operations of application portfolio including maintenance, stability, and innovation.
• Manage service delivery including technical risk, incident, problem, and change management.
• Coordinate vendor team performance, evaluate metrics, and ensure highest value service.
• Provide consulting on application design, development, testing, QA, configuration, installation, and support.
• Plan and deliver large application maintenance efforts in partnership with suppliers and project teams.
• Transition services and support application maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or related field
• 5 years experience as Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related
• Experience with Windows and UNIX operating systems
• Experience with Java/J2EE and UNIX programming
• Experience utilizing Spring Boot, webMethods (10.x,9.x,8.x), SQL Developer, Oracle (9i,10g), webMethods Flow Language, EDI, Groovy
• Experience utilizing Jenkins, Putty, Tortoise SVN, SOAP UI, FileZilla, Splunk
