TL;DR
Network Engineer Intern (AI Operations): Contribute to developing and training Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities using network engineering expertise and datasets with an accent on AI-driven workflow enhancements and DevOps practices. Focus on integrating AI into network design, configuration, troubleshooting real-world issues, and performance analysis.
Location: Canada - Ottawa - 5050 Innovation - Bldg A (onsite)
Pay Range: $20.50 - $27.50 hourly

What you will do
- Develop and train LLM capabilities using datasets and network expertise.
- Evolve network engineering workflows with AI enhancements.
- Assist in network design, configuration, and implementation using DevOps practices.
- Troubleshoot and analyze performance for real-world network issues.
- Collaborate with global Network Engineers, Project Managers, Systems Engineers, and Solution Architects.
- Document configurations, workflows, and updates for knowledge sharing.
- Learn through workshops on optical, routing, and switching technologies.
Requirements
- Working toward a Bachelorβs degree in business or technical program.
- Foundational knowledge of DevOps tools: Jira, GitHub, Python, Jinja, Ansible, Linux.
- Understanding of programming principles, AI, and networking fundamentals.
- Ability to collaborate in team environments.
- Sense of urgency, integrity, adaptability, commitment to learning.
Nice to have
- Exposure to photonics, routing, switching, or network security.
- Interest in AI-enhanced automation for networks.
- Familiarity with service delivery in global tech organizations.
- Experience documenting processes or creating workflow diagrams.
- Interest in travel or international collaboration.
