Chief Architect (Digital Phased Array Systems): Shaping long-term technical strategy and defining end-to-end system architectures for Space RF product lines across radar, EW, and communications applications with an accent on scalability, modularity, and mission integration. Location: Onsite at 10800 Gibson Boulevard Southeast, Albuquerque, NM. Must qualify as U.S. person per ITAR (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual). Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI DoD Security Clearance required.

Salary: $154,500 - $227,325

What you will do

• Define end-to-end system architectures for digital phased array applications, establishing scalable reference architectures aligned with enterprise strategy.
• Drive architectural trade studies across RF, digital, software, FPGA, mechanical, and integration domains.
• Partner with BU lead to shape strategy, prioritize IRAD investments, and develop business cases for growth.
• Lead customer engagements, influence requirements and CONOPS, and contribute to proposals and captures.
• Provide oversight on build, integration, test, calibration, and deployment of large-scale DPA systems, optimizing for SWaP and scalability.
• Mentor staff, promote MOSA and reusable designs, and collaborate across engineering disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related; 12+ years experience with focus on digital phased array systems and RF technologies.
• Demonstrated experience designing, building, integrating, and deploying large-scale phased array systems.
• Strong system architecture development, trade space analysis, and proposal/capture support.
• Experience with business cases, product investments, and customer operational environments (radar, EW, communications).
• Ability to influence leadership and communicate complex concepts; U.S. person per ITAR; Top Secret clearance eligibility.

Nice to have

• Master's/PhD in relevant field; SME in phased array/RF architectures.
• Experience across multiple mission domains (ISR, SATCOM, tactical comms).
• MOSA implementation, MBSE/digital engineering, DoD acquisition processes.
• Prior Chief Architect/Technical Director role; active clearance.
