Solutions Architect (Aerospace)

Solutions Architect (Aerospace): Leading the design and delivery of scalable, secure technology solutions for advanced aerospace and defense ecosystems with an accent on PLM, ERP, and cloud integration. Focus on architecting resilient, compliant systems using zero-trust principles and AI-enabled enterprise architecture to support digital thread and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Location: Must be based in the United States, with frequent travel required to East Aurora, NY.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 Annually

What you will do

• Define target solution architectures across applications, integrations, infrastructure, and data layers.
• Design scalable and secure cloud/hybrid solutions within AWS, Azure, and GovCloud environments.
• Architect data flows across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality systems.
• Incorporate zero-trust principles and secure-by-design methodologies into enterprise architecture.
• Define integration patterns including event-driven, API-led, and streaming architectures.
• Provide technical oversight through implementation and participate in the Architecture Review Board.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person with access to U.S. export-controlled information.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in solution architecture or senior technical leadership.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
• Hands-on experience with PLM systems, ERP platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and CMMC.
• Willingness to travel to East Aurora, NY quarterly or as business requirements dictate.

Nice to have

• TOGAF or equivalent certification.
• Experience with DevSecOps enablement and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
• Knowledge of integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Informatica, or Kafka.
