Salary: $33.00 - $54.02 hourly

What you will do
- Write and edit editorial content such as blog articles, patient stories, magazine articles, and bios.
- Research, verify, proofread, edit, and rewrite copy, conducting interviews with sources as needed.
- Perform strategic analysis including SEO and background research to develop effective content topics.
- Create multimedia content using department software for social media distribution.
- Collaborate with marketing team, Keck Medicine employees, and external stakeholders.
- Attend events, meetings, and represent at specified occasions.
Requirements
- Location: Must work onsite in Los Angeles, CA
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years (5 preferred) experience in creating, writing, editing, proofreading, and preparing materials for publication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and mastery of AP Stylebook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, self-starter with problem-solving abilities.
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) required within 30 days of hire.
Nice to have
- Experience writing/editing health system-related materials.
- Photography skills and Adobe InDesign proficiency.
