Salary: $140,900 – $225,100 CAD

• Lead and mentor a team of software developers focused on innovative AI-enabled applications for network management and optimization.
• Recruit, grow, and retain top-tier development talent, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
• Drive feature planning and execution to ensure timely delivery of intelligent, reliable, and scalable solutions.
• Champion AI transformation by evaluating, adopting, and scaling AI technologies to improve code quality and development velocity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple geographical locations, including data scientists, product managers, and UX designers.
• Promote engineering best practices, including modular design, performance optimization, and automated testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of software development experience with strong technical acumen.
• 2-3 years of engineering leadership experience managing direct reports.
• Proven ability to deliver complex software solutions in an Agile environment.
• Ability to work from the Ottawa office 1-2 days per week.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for distributed team environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML technologies and their application in production systems.
• Track record of leading AI transformation initiatives within engineering organizations.
• Experience in network management systems, software-defined networking (SDN), or network automation platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud-native platforms, microservices architecture, and Kubernetes.
• Background in data-driven decision making and analytics.
