What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js (NestJS) and Java/Kotlin (Spring Boot).
• Build and maintain event-driven architectures utilizing Apache Kafka.
• Develop RESTful and asynchronous APIs for internal and external services.
• Design and optimize data models using PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Deploy and operate services across Docker, Kubernetes, and Windows Server environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate testing and security checks.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency with Node.js, NestJS, Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or other distributed messaging systems.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid setup in London, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with Elasticsearch for search, logging, or monitoring.
• Knowledge of security scanning tools such as SonarQube, OWASP, and TruffleHog.
