Senior AI/ML Engineer (AI/ML): Building and operating hybrid human/machine data labeling tools and pipelines to power autonomous vehicle models with an accent on full-stack architecture and ML-driven data annotation. Location: Remote (USA). If located within a 50-mile radius of Sunnyvale, CA, reporting to the office three times a week is required.

Salary: $170,600 – $261,300

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance full-stack user experiences for data labeling.
• Develop automation tooling and dashboards to improve ML data quality and reduce iteration time.
• Integrate ML-driven annotation techniques, including pre-labeling and active learning loops.
• Utilize and advocate for AI-powered development workflows to increase engineering velocity.
• Lead technical projects end-to-end from problem framing through design and rollout.
• Collaborate with ML, Ops, and Product teams to translate requirements into concrete APIs and UIs.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building robust distributed platforms and applications.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Go, React, SQL, Redux, GraphQL, and WebGL.
• Experience developing and operating cloud-based applications.
• Strong foundations in OO design, data structures, algorithms, TDD, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience using agentic AI tools to accelerate software delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience with computer vision, machine learning, or data-centric AI projects.
• Familiarity with professional data labeling platforms and workflow engines.
• Experience with modern web APIs (Service Workers, IndexedDB) for data-intensive apps.
• Knowledge of A/B testing and telemetry/observability systems.
