What you will do

• Design and develop embedded software in C and Rust for cryptographic and security-critical platforms.
• Architect cryptographic information assurance systems, including the definition of security boundaries and trusted services.
• Conduct trade studies and lead the transition from legacy C to memory-safe Rust designs.
• Support the NSA High Assurance certification process by developing certification artifacts and evidence.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and acceptance tests, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) scenarios.
• Maintain formal engineering documentation such as SHRS, IRS, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).

Requirements

• Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of embedded software development experience in C and/or Rust.
• Proficiency with ARM-based processors and SoC platforms.
• Strong understanding of memory management, concurrency, and deterministic embedded behavior.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of experience in embedded or firmware development.
• Experience with Rust in constrained environments (no-std, heapless, HAL).
• Direct experience with NSA High Assurance certification, RMF, or similar DoD security frameworks.
• Familiarity with AMD Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC platforms.
• Experience with openOCD, gdb, and JTAG/SWD debugging.
