Head of Data Science (Identity & Compliance): Build and scale AI-powered identity and compliance solutions including KYC, International KYC, Global Watchlist, Advanced Prefill, and Identity Graph with an accent on graph intelligence, agent-driven systems, and machine learning at scale. Focus on architecting advanced ML systems, developing graph neural networks, agent-based AI for automated decisioning, and owning end-to-end model lifecycle for fraud detection and regulatory compliance.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco CA, Miami FL, New York NY, Seattle WA, or Washington DC; must live within ~45 miles of these locations. No visa sponsorship.

Salary: $250K - $300K

What you will do

• Own data science vision for Identity & Compliance, driving improvements in accuracy, coverage, latency, and customer impact.
• Lead and build high-performing team of data scientists and researchers.
• Architect and deploy ML systems for identity verification, entity resolution, sanctions screening, and compliance risk modeling.
• Develop graph-based intelligence with graph neural networks and link analysis for Identity Graph and fraud detection.
• Design agent-based AI systems for automated decisioning, investigations, and compliance workflows.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Risk, and GTM teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.
• Own model lifecycle, experimentation, regulatory alignment, and customer/stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MS/PhD preferred) in CS, Stats, Math, Engineering or related.
• 10+ years in data science/ML with production AI systems at scale.
• Experience in identity verification, KYC/AML, fraud detection, or risk modeling in fintech.
• Proven leadership of data science teams.
• Expertise in deep learning, graph neural networks, entity resolution, agentic systems.
• Hands-on with heterogeneous data, Apache Spark, Python, PyTorch.
• Ability to drive ambiguous problems to production and engage stakeholders.

• Experience with graph ML frameworks.
