EHS Advisor (Construction)

What you will do

• Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections across UK construction sites and the Leeds factory.
• Advise operational teams to ensure legal compliance and audit readiness.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and non-conformance reporting.
• Support ISO standards (45001, 14001, 9001) and manage accreditations like CHAS and Constructionline.
• Promote digital tools for EHS management and support IMS development.
• Collaborate with SHEQ, Quality, and Technical teams to drive a positive safety culture.

Requirements

• Proven EHS experience within construction (principal contractor or subcontractor environment).
• Knowledge of modern construction methods (MMC, steel structures, off-site construction) and manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of EHS legislation, construction regulations, and ISO standards.
• Practical knowledge of risk areas including temporary works, lifting operations, working at height, and LOTOTO.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital EHS tools.
