What you will do
- Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for HL7 interfaces and claims processing.
- Validate HL7 message flows and EDI transactions (837, 835, 270/271) for accuracy.
- Test claims submission, adjudication, remittance, and denial workflows end-to-end.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product owners on requirements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of QA/testing experience in healthcare or health insurance.
- Strong knowledge of HL7 v2.x (ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT) and interface testing.
- Understanding of medical claims lifecycle (enrollment, eligibility, submission, adjudication, EOB).
- Experience with EDI transactions (X12 837P/837I, 835, 270/271).
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools.
Nice to have
- Experience with HL7 FHIR or modern interoperability frameworks.
- Familiarity with SQL for data validation.
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding.
- Test automation tools or frameworks.
- Understanding of HIPAA privacy and security.
