What you will do

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for HL7 interfaces and claims processing.
• Validate HL7 message flows and EDI transactions (837, 835, 270/271) for accuracy.
• Test claims submission, adjudication, remittance, and denial workflows end-to-end.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product owners on requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of QA/testing experience in healthcare or health insurance.
• Strong knowledge of HL7 v2.x (ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT) and interface testing.
• Understanding of medical claims lifecycle (enrollment, eligibility, submission, adjudication, EOB).
• Experience with EDI transactions (X12 837P/837I, 835, 270/271).
• Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with HL7 FHIR or modern interoperability frameworks.
• Familiarity with SQL for data validation.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding.
• Test automation tools or frameworks.
• Understanding of HIPAA privacy and security.
