Senior Quality Engineer (Banking)

TL;DR

Senior Quality Engineer (Banking): Ensuring software excellence and high-quality product delivery for financial systems with an accent on comprehensive test design and execution. Focus on implementing Shift-Left and Shift-Right practices, optimizing test coverage via XRay, and collaborating across DevOps and development teams.

Location: Residence in AMBA (Buenos Aires) is mandatory. Hybrid work model: 3 days in-person (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 2 days remote.

What you will do

• Analyze functional and technical specifications to design effective test cases and scenarios.
• Execute tests and report defects in JIRA/XRay, tracking them until resolution.
• Collaborate with the automation team to identify automation candidates and support the testing strategy.
• Work with Development and DevOps teams to implement Shift-Left and Shift-Right practices.
• Review user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure testability.
• Mentor and contribute to the development of junior and mid-level testers.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing testing tools, specifically XRay Test Management for JIRA.
• Solid knowledge of functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing for mobile and web applications.
• Familiarity with Git and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Basic understanding of automation tools such as Cucumber, Postman, Java, Appium, or Katalon.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Mandatory residence in AMBA (Buenos Aires).

Nice to have

• Experience within the Banking industry.
• Knowledge of AI technologies (MCP, Agentic AI, etc.).
• Experience in Rapid Software Testing (RST) contexts.
