Jr. Security QA Analyst (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Jr. Security QA Analyst (Cybersecurity): Reviewing tickets, documentation, and KPIs for the Information Security Team to ensure quality standards, bridging development and security gaps with an accent on learning security methodologies and supporting secure product releases. Focus on designing and maintaining AI knowledge systems, providing constructive feedback, identifying root causes, and proposing process improvements.

Remote (must reside in the Americas, preferably South and Central America. Applications from other locations will be disqualified from this selection process.)

What you will do

• Review closed tickets, new/updated documentation, and KPIs from the Information Security Team for compliance with quality criteria and implement corrective actions.
• Design, implement, and maintain an AI knowledge system using documented processes for consistent team guidance.
• Provide constructive feedback, identify root causes, support fixes, and propose improvements to enhance quality and reduce overhead.
• Document new procedures, update existing ones, create reports, track tasks, and ensure timely accurate documentation.
• Work with the Information Security Project Manager on project support tasks and facilitate team processes.
• Engage in ongoing training, share knowledge to foster security awareness, adhere to policies, and organize work via Jira tickets.

Requirements

• Ongoing Bachelor's degree in computer science, telecommunications, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience reviewing operational tickets and process documentation for quality, completeness, and policy adherence.
• Understanding of ticket lifecycle management and quality standards in IT teams.
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered knowledge assistants from structured/unstructured documentation.
• At least 1 year of work experience in similar roles.
• Excellent writing skills in both English and Spanish (B2/C1).
• Teamwork experience; ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Good networking and cybersecurity foundations.

Nice to have

• Any Cybersecurity certification.
• Familiarity with ITIL, cybersecurity governance, controls, risk processes, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of tools like Tenable, Qualys, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Splunk, Nmap, Wireshark, etc.
