What you will do

• Lead Qt/QML application architecture including structure, state management, navigation, theming, accessibility, and performance.
• Define multi-release UI direction in partnership with UX design and product teams.
• Set engineering standards for UI code clarity, safety, testability, and performance under clinical conditions.
• Design and deliver major subsystems, cross-cutting architecture, or large technical initiatives.
• Mentor senior UI engineers, conduct design reviews, and provide guidance on critical decisions.
• Drive technical alignment across software, systems, quality, product, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Onsite minimum 4 days/week in Newton, MA; U.S. work authorization required.
• Bachelor's degree + 7 years relevant experience, or Master's + 5 years, or PhD + 3 years.
• Experience exercising broad technical judgment on complex system and architectural problems.
• Ability to communicate complex technical tradeoffs to stakeholders.

• Deep expertise in Qt/QML at scale: state management, threading, performance, accessibility, theming.
• Strong understanding of UI interactions with real-time data, GPU rendering, clinical workflows.
• Experience in regulated environments, Python/C++, real-time/device-integrated systems.
