What you will do

• Identify and vet suppliers for new components, negotiate pricing, and manage purchase orders for prototypes and pilot runs.
• Manage preliminary BOMs with Engineering, identifying long-lead and high-risk items early.
• Develop material plans for NPI schedules across all build phases (Proto, EVT, DVT, PVT).
• Lead supplier selection for new technologies, ensuring quality, capacity, and cost standards.
• Drive cost reduction through feedback on components and alternative sourcing suggestions.
• Control inventory for legacy parts and new revisions to minimize excess and obsolete stock.
• Lead NPI supply chain meetings with updates on status, risks, and mitigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years in procurement/planning, with 3+ years in NPI for manufacturing (Electronics, Aerospace, Tech preferred).
• Expert proficiency in MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Data Modeling).
• Experience with PLM software (e.g., Arena, Agile).
• Successful completion of post-offer background check.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, navigate facilities, and use PPE as required.

Nice to have

• APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or CPSM certification.
