Production Planner

TL;DR

What you will do

• Own short-term production schedules, demand planning, and executable schedules aligned to labor, capacity, and materials.
• Release, prioritize, sequence, and reschedule work orders in SAP based on shop-floor changes.
• Make real-time decisions for expedites, service demand, and recovery of late work orders.
• Partner with supervisors and managers to adjust priorities and maintain end-to-end work order ownership.
• Track open/constrained orders, drive recovery plans, and respond to shortages, rework, or disruptions.
• Engage with shop floor for status updates, provide priority guidance, and support production meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations, or related field
• Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing Planning, Scheduling, or Production Control
• Demonstrated experience building/adjusting schedules and owning work order execution
• Strong understanding of MRP outputs and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Production execution mindset for time-sensitive decisions and shop-floor collaboration
• Problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, proficient in Excel

Nice to have

• Experience with low-volume, long-lead production
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, WIP control, and production flow
