Clearing Associate

TL;DR

Clearing Associate (Financial Operations): Perform daily clearing functions including trade capture, lifecycle management, reconciliation, and resolving breaks across venues and products with an accent on ensuring reliable flow of trading activity across global markets and managing moment-to-moment risk for trading teams. Focus on facilitating operations with trading teams, clearing brokers, exchanges, and stakeholders, identifying process improvements, and executing operational duties.

Location: Amsterdam (onsite, 4-day workweek with one weekend day; must be comfortable with Saturday or Sunday shift)

What you will do

• Perform daily clearing functions, including trade capture, lifecycle management, reconciliation, and resolving breaks across venues and products.
• Work directly with trading teams, clearing brokers, exchanges, and internal stakeholders in Technology, Finance, and Operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows, and develop/maintain procedural documentation.
• Execute additional operational duties to support the business, including weekend trading support.

Requirements

• 2+ years in operational role, preferably financial services; familiarity with post-trade lifecycles (Equities, Treasuries, Futures, FX, Options)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups); Python and SQL a strong plus
• Strong analytical skills, process improvement experience, handling large data volumes under time constraints
• Excellent communication skills for global collaboration
• Comfortable with 4-day workweek including one weekend day (Wednesday–Saturday or Sunday–Wednesday after onboarding)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field with STEM background and Finance interest
