What you will do

• Deploy, configure, and maintain SQL Server and Oracle databases in AWS using EC2, RDS, storage, and networking.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Design high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and retention strategies.
• Enforce security best practices including IAM, encryption, and access controls.
• Troubleshoot issues, plan migrations, monitor capacity, and automate operations.
• Collaborate with application and cloud teams, develop documentation and standards.

Requirements

• Associate degree; preferred BS/BA in Computer Science or IT certification.
• Minimum 3 years experience in technician or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server and Oracle administration.
• Experience with AWS (RDS, EC2, storage, networking), database architecture, indexing, query optimization.
• Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, backups, security, IAM, performance tuning.
• Scripting (PowerShell, Bash), AWS CloudWatch, troubleshooting, documentation, collaboration skills.
