People Operations & Administration Specialist (HR Ops): Ensure smooth HR administrative and operational processes across the entire employee lifecycle with an accent on payroll coordination, labor/contract management, hiring administration, international mobility, and compliance. Focus on coordinating end-to-end visa/relocation processes, onboarding/offboarding, and process improvements for employee experience.

Location: Hybrid in Barcelona, Spain. Deep understanding of Spanish labor framework, social security, and visa categories required.

Barcelona-based startup launching a constellation of nanosatellites for global 5G IoT connectivity as a complement to terrestrial telecoms.

What you will do

  • Coordinate payroll with Finance and external providers, ensuring accurate and timely data delivery.
  • Manage labor contracts, amendments, and documentation, collaborating with legal partners.
  • Own end-to-end hiring administration, including candidate docs, contracts, and system updates.
  • Handle international mobility, visas, work permits, and relocations with external providers.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for consistent employee experience.
  • Provide employee support on payroll, taxes, social security, and escalate legal issues.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years experience in Labor Relations, HR, Administration, or Employment Law.
  • University Degree in Labour Relations or Law.
  • Deep knowledge of Spanish labor framework, social security, and visa categories.
  • High proficiency with Payfit or similar payroll/labor software.
  • Native/Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English (C1/B2+).
  • Problem-solver with meticulous attention to detail, able to work autonomously.
