What you will do

• Provide expert consultancy on casting technology and the metallurgy of cast components for engineers and project managers.
• Lead the development, evaluation, and qualification of raw material suppliers, focusing on foundries.
• Define technical delivery specifications and collaborate with quality teams to resolve material non-conformities.
• Plan and execute local material improvement and testing projects within China and South-East Asia.
• Build and maintain a regional network of external research institutes and technical partners.
• Contribute to the establishment and future management of the Material Competence Center Hub in the Far East.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Metallurgy or Material Science (PhD preferred).
• Deep understanding of steel production, alloy design, and microstructure-property relationships.
• Proven knowledge of material testing techniques and quality requirements.
• Fluency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% worldwide to various locations, factories, and construction sites.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to maintain stakeholder relations within a global organization.
